John O'Sullivan was the inventor of WIFI and was born in Sydney, 1947.

He moved to the Netherlands in 1977 working with Dr Richard on modifications of the telescope. His biggest achievement there was letting us see black holes. With home in mind, John moved back to Australia, working for the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation or CSIRO for short. There his real work began and as the head of engineering there he made major improvements. For one, he set up more job opportunities as well as giving others more challenging and important role.

From there he left in 1996 and launched his invention yet in 2005 the first unlicensed WLAN device was launched. As the years went by more and more large tech companies stole his invention. In 2009 CSIRO had had enough and took them to court. There the judge gave way to CSIRO and made the companies pay royalties. In total the companies owed him $403 million dollars.

John O'Sullivan continued his journey, yet WIFI was his legacy. Because of him, CSIRO got more funding for bigger projects and Australia got recognition for being a vital part to the world.
